READY TO GO HOME AUG 27, 2026.
Born from healthy and loved parents who live on our farm, Dotty and Gus, our family pets, who are both active livestock guardians when not on Maternity leave. This litter had 6 healthy puppies (4 girls, 2 boys). They will come with a vet certificate, dewormer, and first flea prevention.
They were born Jul 2, 2026.
Mom (Dotty) is a salt and pepper colored Great Pyrenees. She was born on our farm (to Daisy and Chopper). She is a great guardian, gets along well with her pack, and is overall quite a happy dog. She always looks like she's smiling. She is med to med-high energy, but is still young. This is her 1st litter of pups, and she is doing a great job. She loves her puppies, and they are hearty and strong.
Dad (Gus) has not reached his full filled out weight yet, but as he grows, we think he might be the biggest dog on our farm soon. We brought him in to add new Pyrenees genetics to our farm, so Dotty had a non-relative to breed with. As a breeder I can't have favorites, but wow, Gus sure challenges that. He's great. At a very young age, he fits into the pack, takes his shifts guarding at night, and is the type of dog you'd like duplicated. He has the classic Pyrenees look, with curlier than average fur.
We feed Iams Large Breed Puppy Chow (usually available at Walmart, Canadian Tire, etc). As they get older, we do introduce raw meat and raw bones also.
Great Pyrenees overall as a breed should not live in a small space like an apartment. A house can work (we do have a few that chose inside), but they will feel like they are guarding the people and pets who live in the house. They are very equip to live outside year round with a shelter from harsh weather. They can be noisy at night, and are sometimes kinda nocturnal. They do bark when they feel something needs to be pointed out like if a stranger shows up, delivery person, etc. Their instinct to protect those they love is strong, and can't really be trained out of them.
